Sounds good, Paul! Looks like you'll be wearing four hats at that event. That should keep you moving.

Wednesday morning, our group, B lue Coyote, played at a Senior Citizen meal site for an hour. The occasion was a 94th birthday party for our friend, Nelson. The music was pretty good as was the birthday cake and ice cream. I got lucky on bottleneck guitar on a couple tunes. We had two singalongs: You Are My Sunshine and Goodnight, Irene. We also played Happy Birthday. Four years ago, we played for Nelson's 9Oth. I forgot to add that while we were tearing down our equipment, Nelson was at the table singing the old Mac Davis tune, "It's Hard To Be Humble." He can carry a tune and people (and me) sang along. Then, he said "grace" for the meal.

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way. Each morning I look in the mirror, I get better looking each day.
I've had a 3 year old boy at my house off and on for the last month. He left Saturday which was day 10 of the 3rd visit. We had a blast but I think I lost 12 pounds and aged 10 years. I miss him. Johnny and I laughed (maybe we were hysterical) a lot while he was here.

Sunday, I got my air compressor out and pumped up the tires on my old Schwinn Continental 10-speed. My brother and I have identical bicycles from 1972. I haven't ridden my bike in nine or 1O years and it felt great. Muscles I haven't used came into play. Go, cat, go...

Today was the day to scrape and repaint the trim around the windows of the house. Too bad, a cool drizzly rain is going to continue most of the day. A good book or some music maybe. Or I could straighten up the garage.

Just got in at 2.10am from playing in the band. I expect it was our last gig. The last nine months playing in The Imposters just blew right by even tho' we didn't play that often. For the last night, we had to use my best friend of 43 1/2 years (my guitar teacher, really) on bass. He played very well even tho' he's a fantastic guitarist. On the third band break, a conjunto group got up to play. Even had a push button accordion player. I got them set up and they roped me into playing guitar along with them. Played a few happy songs. "Just let me know what key we're in, guys." For our swansong, I dusted off (literally) the ukelele. It was my idea to play an instrumental version of Aloha 'Oe. The band played softer and I strummed chords near the microphone. My brother played the melody using the wiggly bar on his electric guitar to simulate the lap steel guitar that he left home. Sounded great... When I got home, I carried my equipment in and got Barney out of his case and screwed his wiggly bar in. Played a little already. I'll still play occasionally with Blue Coyote for the Senior Citizens. That won't make my ears ring, heheh!

Hi, Laura. Just saw this. Your oldest is off to school. That is something to be proud of! I still don't know where the time goes. 45 years ago I left out for college. Yikes! Breaking news-I dusted off the uke too soon. The Imposters just got a job in September the week of my birthday. I'm ready now...
