again... Here in my little area it's at $3.77 a gallon, it has gone up at one station here 7 cents a week for the last 3 weeks, everyone ready for $5.00 a gallon in summer! Diesel fuel is at $4.05 right now, what's the price where you live?

We've got $4.15 starting yesterday. For a couple weeks, they've been running it up to $3.999 and then ratcheting it back a little. Finally broke through the $4 ceiling. In 2008, when gas went over $4 for the first time, I noticed people changing their habits. Not as much driving around. The couple on the highway with the His & Hers John Deere Lawn Tractors were NOT gratuitously mowing when the lawn didn't need it. When gas prices dropped, back to business as usual. Last year gas went over $4 for awhile and stayed relatively high. People around here kept their old habits. Lots of driving around. My neighbors (kitty-corner to me) mowed, weed-whacked and leaf blew 5 times in 18 days! In that time, I mowed zero. This March, I've already seen the riding mowers out blowing a few leaves around even though gas is $4. And a leaf blower. I'm thinking it will take $6 gas before I see habits change again.

few people realize how extensive the suppression of alternatives is, Lots of alternatives have been invented, and squashed, because they threatened the existence of big money from oil. I've kind of had the hobby of research in mechanical/electrical technology, and what I've come across as working systems is astounding. But nothing that is a viable replacement for the big money makers in energy will ever be produced while men are still making big money on energy. I'm just going to take my farm and operations off the system of robbery as I can get things built myself, for my own food security. First in order is some real old technology, wood fired steam, just because that's the simplest and most reliable. The I'll go back to something better, like generators that generate electricity without any mechanical resistance, several designs of those have been invented. The men of science will say it's impossible, but some have discovered there's something different going on with a magnetic field than modern science understands, and a conventional generator is en extremely inefficient device.

They are in the $3.48 range for unleaded around here. What is amazing is all the people who will buy gas hogs if it drops below $3 a gallon. Just when they get signed up with 5 years worth of notes there it will go back up again.

$3.59 in Nebraska, $3.45 in Iowa. Steady for the past month. Oil prices dropping but pump prices not. Oil goes up a penny and gas pump prices rise a nickel the same day. Funny (sad) how that works.

Usually gas goes up here the week before Memorial Day weekend, since it is a BIG time for trips to the shore to start. It should start dropping starting Tuesday...hopefully.

I've seen it as low as $3.11 a gallon. Still not going to go out and buy a bas guzzler, seen too many people make that mistake in 40 years of up and down. It never goes down to the previous down.

Boy, isn't that the truth! have never fogotten that year back in the 70's that everyone learned how to pump their own gas (when gas prices tripled from 30 cents to a $1 a gallon). Gas shortages forced lines every other day.

$3.39 in Ne. Haven't been to Mo. or Ia lately. They are usually 20 cents cheaper than Taxabraska. Far cry from $1.85 three years ago. With the election looming we should see a significant drop beginning soon.
