We need a thread for food prices, King Phillip Bread flour is going for $4.99 for 5 lbs here. All purpose flour seems to be usually on sale for less than half that price. Sorry for being off topic.

I looked back to the beginning of this thread and gas prices are about the same as a year ago. Don't believe it when the crooked politicians tell you how much better things are getting. Four years ago gas was at least a buck and a half cheaper here. If better means higher then taxes are better, gas prices are better, unemployment is better, food prices are better, spending is better, etc. Sorry about the mini-rant, but in my nearly fifty years of voting, I have never been so disappointed in the direction this country is going. I must have too much time on my hands this winter. When the gardening gets going I probably will feel better and less like a grump.

Just took this close by. This place is usually a penny or two higher but the price dropped 3 cents on a Thursday. Exxon must be needing some good PR. Did anyone else see Exxon took out an ad on Craigslist for contract cleanup techs in Arkansas? You'd think with that company's track record and $$$ they'd have their own staff to deal with something relatively small compared to their other spills. Attachments:

This AM most places had dropped. The $3.29 is on state line road. Taken from the KS side looking SE into Mo. I found a cheaper place more away from the Ks border. I don't understand wide differences. Didn't go into Ks far enough but I'd suspect they are probably 3.45-3.38 depending on the neighborhood. Attachments:

What I find interesting is that those areas pumping and refining oil pay more. I live across town from "refinery row", and TDD lives in a major oil producing area. Whenever I travel to other areas, prices decrease.

there are wells around this area.
last I heard there are only two refineries left in this area. everything comes from them. the reason Kansas is higher is because of taxes.
