Hello! I'm going to try this tonight since I have a bunch of San Marcos tomatoes that need processing. I'll let you know how it comes out. Lilith

@lilithwild how was it? I don't add sugar to my vegetables. I like the taste without it.

When I used to eat meat I liked tomato gravy with meatloaf. Also with cabbage rolls. I fill cabbage rolls with meatless rice dressing now so I can still enjoy the red gravy (as we call it) with them.

I love cabbage rolls with a shrimp and rice dressing. Do you eat fish or seafood or is that a no-no too?

I love cabbage rolls with a shrimp and rice dressing. Do you eat fish or seafood or is that a no-no too? My stomach doesn't seem to rebel against a little fish or seafood if it is not fried. I only eat fish raw though. Cooked fish tastes to me like...cooked fish. hahaha! Shrimp might be nice in it but it might overcook in the time it takes to bake the cabbage rolls. Overcooked shrimp is so chewy. My Mamma used to cook hers to death...I called it shrimp jerky. But that's what she liked, to each her own.
No tofu in my rice dressing. I don't like (this is just a weird personal quirk) fake meat. If I eat tofu I like the silken tofu cooked in fresh grapefruit syrup with the fruit, and ginger. Makes a yummy dessert. Or I use it in Asian dishes. The meatless rice dressing is still very good. Using beef broth and Worcestershire sauce gives it good flavor.
How do you cook your shrimp and rice dressing? The shrimp are raw when stuffing the cabbage, right? Then how long in the oven?
