New Mexico is in windy season mode. Afternoon temps are usually high 60s - low 70s, nights are still chilly (mostly high 30s). Trees are leafing out.

It's 33F (1C) and snowing here today. 1.25" (3.175cm) and still coming down. Shot of Mom's backyard. The Cardinal was camera shy. He would have really brightened things up. Goldfinch is starting to get yellow- Out Mom's front bay window with neighbor's pond. Yeah, Christmas lights are still in our window-

I am very glad I'm gardening with raised beds. Ohioan clay is turning into (again) baby-poo consistancy...

In the afternoon, we got some snow on the ground. Then we had thundersleet for a while. After midnight, we're getting a garden variety thunderstorm with lots of rain. We're still under a Winter Weather Advisory until morning. The roads have slush and are cruddy tonight. I'm quite ready for winter to be over...

That Garden Variety Thunderstorm must have picked up some nutrients along the way cuz by the time it reached here it was Competition Sized and Ultra Violent 4 hours of pouring rain with lightning and house shaking thunderboomers...my yard is a mini-Lake Eerie this morning...

Here's this afternoon's shot of a couple Crocuses with the Snowdrop sticking his head in the picture. Back in 2002 I had 105 Crocuses, but they've dwindled. After 1.35"(35mm) of rain, I don't know how we have snow left, but we do! There's water laying in my yard and I pumped out my crawlspace twice... so far. Thank goodness for my sump pump.

We have some here that do, but as far as my family goes, we live in a double wide trailer, but we have an outside storm shelter that we use in such emergencies! There are a lot of people here that have storm shelters here! Even in some of the smaller towns here have community storm shelters for the towns folk.

Our turn to have the tornado watch this pm. We've gotten into the lo 60s. It's a heatwave! Glad you have a storm shelter, 'dude. Mom's house is a modular on a basement. My crib has a crawlspace. I have a weather radio that goes off. My town doesn't even have its fire whistle anymore, so we're all on our own. When I was a kid during tornado warnings, we had to go to my grandparent's farm that had a basement. I know I was scared silly.

Strat! Hope the Tornado passed you by. I see that a close Friend in the Catskills of NYS is also in the potential path of one. What a Night!

Hi, Blue. National Weather Service radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado near us. Thankfully there weren't any tornadoes sighted. My friend, with the barnyard garden, had big Tstorm with hail blow thru. Keep safe everyone.
