My favorite vining flower. Also serves as a trap crop for white flies so they really don't last quite long in my place. my blue kikyou

Very nice, Adobo! I enjoy growing purple morning glories on my garden fence.
As you're growing in containers, do the vines have strings to climb on or are you pinching the plants back?

I installed a improvised trellis made of bamboo sticks. I haven't made them yet when I tool those pics.
Does pinching the growing tips of Morning Glories will also produce a bushier vine? I never pinched any MG vines yet...

Thanks, Adobo. I've never pinched mine back, either. I was just wondering if I were missing something.

We have one that's wild here, I think it's called moon vine, is that in the same class as morning glories?

Just so you know... I have a whole field of morning glory. Come and take as much as you want. No returns though.

Just so you know... I have a whole field of morning glory. Come and take as much as you want. No returns though. No thank you! A few years back my son wanted morning glories to plant in the garden. I didn't know anything about morning glories, so I finally said ok. Oooooofff! They strangled pretty much everything else in the garden. I picked a couple of morning glory sprouts this morning out of the garden. Never, ever, ever again! It's the gift that keeps on giving.

I love Granpa Ott MG's. I have some coming up everywhere-no blooms yet. Moonflower vine is in the same family as MG's, but they bloom in the evening & at night, and smell so good! I have seeds of both.

I love your pictures! I had that mix also, with my Grandpa Ott's. The volunteers are starting to bloom, and so far, they're all Grandpa Ott's. Love em!
