ahhhhh come on fellas....take a mix of veggies...young squash, tomatos, onions, greenbeans, corn, carrots what ever cut into chunks ....set out foil wrap a good serving in each pocket of foil with butter and a bit of seasoning...wrap and grill along with a good steak or brot......sometimes no need for the meat if the veggies are young and sweet.....we done up these pkts at a church cookout and they loved them

I'm personally a big fan of goose breast kabobs. Cut them into small strips, and let 'em marinade in some Dale's steak seasoning for about 30min prior. Then we kabob 'em with mushrooms, onion, grape tomatoes, and summer squash. Delicious!!!!

Ciao all-
Wow, you know what, I'd have to say Duane's bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers are just about my favourite of anything he grills now (or smokes). They are eyeball-rolled-back-in-the-head AMAZING.
We also love grilled vegetable sandwiches in the summer: thick slices of round zucchini that have been allowed to grow to 4" across, Rosa Bianca eggplant, large flat red onion, and giant portobello mushroom caps. I season the pieces with olive oil, sea salt, fresh ground pepper, and Italian herbs - rosemary, oregano, basil and then Duane grills them. He just scored an oversized BBQ flipper at Canada Blooms of all places - Weber had a booth, so he's good to go now for the season.

I don't even need meat...any veggie or fruit will do. Green tomatoes slices on the grill take on a very good flavor.

Ya know I love it all on the grill, brisket, ribs, burgers but to be honest, one of my favorites is crookneck squash with a dash of olive oil and just a pinch of spice. I could eat that all day!

I probably grill more eggplant than anything else, mainly to scrape out the softened mush to use in recipes. The stuff freezes well, too.
For meats, I have made many pork and chicken satays, with many types of dip sauce. But what I make most is Thai grilled chicken - Gai Yahng - which is marinated in a simple cilantro pesto, with a little soy sauce added. And a simple dip sauce of a sugar vinegar syrup, with garlic and crushed red peppers in it. I made a much more complex dip sauce using a recipe from Milk Street magazine, but more than one person said that they liked "the usual stuff" just as much.

Nothing like freshly ground black pepper! I buy Telicherry pepper by the pound, and have at least 4 pepper mills in the house (I probably have more in the dining room cabinets!). And another peppermill for white, and another for Szechwan peppers, but most for black.
Many years ago, at Christmas time, I gave a bunch of friends and family peppermills I made on my lathe (I got a deal on a dozen mechanisms), and bag of pepper with it. This way, I would be sure to have pepper at all of their homes.
