hairymooseknuckles, I have one that is starting to ripen which looks exactly like the one you have pictured in reply #84. So, with the heat we have had and is continuing, it won't be long for me as well.

hairymooseknuckles, Picked a handful yesterday but haven't tasted any yet. Plants are very vigorous, growing at least 5 foot tall so far. Is the size similar to what you have grown?

pondgardener , daylilydude, Let me know what you think of their taste as I'm a poor judge of tomato taste. I simply don't care for raw tomatoes that much. Yes Sir. I think you're looking good. I only had 1 plant to get that big. It was in my raised bed. The rest were only about 3' tall, but they didn't get any fertilizer though. The raised bed was highly amended and the growth was like yours. I'm glad to see others growing and enjoying them. They came real close to being extinct. At least I've never seen any on other forums. I've asked about them on numerous forums and no one could give me any info on them. They have a different appearance. Sort of Hazy. I'm not real sure how to describe them really. Sort of like fuzzy peach, but not really like them either as there's no fuzz. The skin is just different than any I've ever grown. More like a Plum than a peach.

I am wringing out seed from these. I only get 2 or 3 at a time. seeds get a rinse, and once dried, go into pill bottle. Some will go to Robin Williams (of need for seed) and the rest will go to a KY charity.

DLD, the pinkness of 'pink' tomato is often variable. daylilydude,

hairymooseknuckles , tasting tomatoes is not really my interest in growing them, as I primarily just cut them up to put into other products that I can. But tasting a few, they have a good tomato flavor with a touch of sweetness.

I don't have any ripe yet, but I think they are the right shape, and I thought I could feel a slightly fuzzy feeling to the green skin.

coppice , september , pondgardener , daylilydude , I'm so glad you guys are growing these. I believe it's a nice little tomato that deserves saving. I've always enjoyed saving and sharing seeds. Growing something unique was always one of my favorite things as a gardener. I've been fortunate to have many unique varieties gifted to me over the years and I've always done my best to pass it forward. We have such a talented group of non selfish gardeners who share their knowledge with others here and it brings great joy when I see people growing something I've given them, which in turn was gifted to me. Talk about being connected, it sure makes the world a smaller place.

Surprise, surprise! I was looking for something else, and happened to find one picture file with my old Frosty Pink Plum pictures from 2019. They do have a more fuzzy, pearly look to them than in these pictures which were taken indoors in my greenhouse.

september, May I borrow your pictures? I’d like to show some folks on the Oklahoma forum and your pictures are prettier than mine. I’ll give you full credit.

Good production, but they matured very late for such a small tomato for me, so may not be the best choice for far northern gardens. My spiral tomato record keeping notebook has gone missing since early summer, so I can't check on what else I might have said in 2019. As I recall, the flavor was ok, but not great, probably because of the fall maturity. It's planting spot was in the woods garden, so shortened hours of lower sun by end of August/September also may have affected flavor and maturity.
