Today (Saturday) I was outside for about 11 1/2 hours. We had 90F(32.2C) with a strong wind that dried everything out. Summer hours.
I planted loads of tomatoes in my cottage garden. Gotta get on the peppers in containers soon. And more tomatoes, of course...
The Hellstrip is mostly filled up with flowers (with Mom's help). I have some Cherry Brandy I started that aren't quite ready to go in.

Lots and lots of weeding and fertilizing. My wood chip mulch has never materialized and that makes the grass and weeds very happy. Lol.

Same here, but it's been off and on rain, just a couple of inches total and not the deluge that parts of the Deep South and Florida have gotten the past few days. It's been interesting watching the radar and seeing nearly all of the heavy rain and bad thunderstorms either barely miss us, or fall apart just before they come on shore.
Still, I haven't really done anything in my garden but pick a few things. Too wet to handle the plants much.

Beautiful plants Cornishwoman!
Is that 1 really large fused Mutt, or 2 on top of each other? I can't quite tell from the pic.

Tx,I'm pretty sure its 2 fused tomatoes, dark green one at the bottom is independent. There are 2 more trusses growing from the main stalk which the mutt is growing on. I wanted to cut the mutt off and let it finish ripening on my windowsill but I cant even get my knife in the gap between the stalk and the main stem to cut it off,so there it will sit till its ripe enough for me to twist off.

sometimes Brandywine tomatoes have ridges like that. So does a beefsteak tomato. I planted beefsteaks last year that looked like yours.

That looks like the bagel-shaped Black Krim my friend grew in her garden back in 2008. Here's my pic with some well-grown tri-color Triple Play Sweet Corn (OP) she grew. Click on the pic to be able to enlarge. Am I getting warm?

I did raise 4 black krims this year and I thought one German queen for mother-in-law.I'm sure now that mutt is a krim .The other fruit on that plant are starting to change colour, they are not overly large and fit nicely in the palm of a hand and now looking at them they look like krims. If I remember rightly the original seed came from Tatiana's several years ago

We've had slightly cooler weather the few days, and one of my Rutgers tomato plants set 4 more fruit. Do you think it knew I was planning to pull it as soon as it ripened the last couple of fruits it set last month?

The Yellow Moon & Stars watermelon vines are in a flush of new growth and have set a few more fruit...the vines started to perk up after ripening the first melons. The Tasty Sweet watermelon is putting on new growth, and both my cantaloupes have fruit going. So...maybe I don't have to yank the plants and re-seed the bags after all. I have 3 watermelons and 9 cantaloupes ranging from teeny things that set a few days ago to one cantaloupe that's nearly ripe. Maybe I'll get a few more baby melons going before the vines quit blooming and put their energy into developing the fruit they've set. If everything matures, I'll definitely call "the bag trick" a success. A couple of weeks ago I started setting the cantaloupes on overturned gallon nursery pots as soon as they get heavy enough to stay up there (not get blown off by wind). So far it is keeping the earwigs off of the fruit completely. I guess they won't or can't climb the pots to get to them. Free (re-purposed pots from previous plant purchases), simple, and non-toxic...I love it. ;D My cucumbers look terrible but are still producing (I made my first homemade dill pickles yesterday) and the moschata pumpkins I seeded last week are up now. Just planted some more dill (for future pickles!), cosmos, and more Chinese Red Noodle long beans to replace the pole beans I just pulled. Unfortunately, tree rats (actual rats, not squirrels) stripped my grape vines, hollowed out some of my tomatoes, ruined a cantaloupe, and are now eating my bell peppers as they ripen. This means war. The rat trap is going out tonight.

When I lived in Florida my friend over in St Augustine had your problem , the rats were in her fruiting trees and in her basement .Her husband borrowed a friends pet snake which he put in the basement of their house where most of the rats were,it was a particular type of snake not indigenous to this country but not harmful to humans or so he said, any how it took a while for the rats to move on from the house but they did,I think they still had them in the garden .I'm not scared of snakes but I don't think I would like to live with one in my home, bit creepy,I wouldn't have know what to do if it had been me,exterminator I guess if they were not to expensive, expect that's why he got the snake.Good luck in getting rid of them.

I'm not having much luck with my melons, lots of male flowers which have been there for over a week, spotted one female early this morning, pollinated that , will do that again later on that is if its still open, not looking for to much success fruit wise but the leaves are very healthy and green ,that's a good sign I suppose. Starting to pick beans ,they are smallish delicate but really tasty.Cucumbers are about 2 inches long,I grew a hybrid called Diva this year, its doing very well bug wise. Its been to hot for me to do much gardening even in the evenings, other than watering and harvesting a few bits not much going on. Peppers are now turning the most beautiful mahogany deep red, those are the Rounds of Hungary I planted, the others are a long green sweet pepper ,still waiting on them to turn. Pimiento peppers are at a standstill with tiny fruit on, cherry peppers are a dismal failure didn't even flower. Parsnips looking good, well the leaves are ,time will tell as so far the resident moles haven't gone any where near that area of the garden,I really was planing in sowing the parsnip seed in an old water trough I have, decided to use it for a worm compost bin instead, still haven't got around to doing that. I did get all the dogs bathed and nails trimmed in the garden, that took me 2 afternoons, horses get their bath this weekend thats if I can get some help, if not I guess I will still plan on it ,just take longer.

The Thai Golden Round melons are ripe. Mom and Dad tried one....then threw it away. The said it smelled like a muskmelon and didn't taste very good.

I grew those melons one time, and was not impressed with them - the word "Thai" attracted me to them, but I'll stick with Thai peppers.
SOW, there are so many peppers out in my garden, I am going to have to sell some (which I don't always do). Seems just about every variety is producing this year!
AND, I got my first ripe tomato this season! I always say I don't really count this, as the sunsugar cherry is always the first, but it really does taste good.
