Ours dropped too! It seems they spiked when that news about CA gas prices went up, but they realized people stopped buying as much, to they dropped back down quickly.

It's between 3.28-3.33 in Missouri (depending on what part of town). On the Ks side it goes up about 0.05 to 0.12 more.

We're at 3.39 as of yesterday's fillup. I am torn about gas prices - since I drive a lot for work, price is always a concern. Otoh, we have shale drilling all around us which I know is polluting the little water we have. One way or the other, we will pay!

Wow! I thought we were doing good at $3.15 locally and $3.40 in the big city.
Never could figure out why prices are higher here than a further distance out on gas and nat gas a lot/maybe most of the time. We have refineries and sources for nat gas locally??

Wow! Never could figure out why prices are higher here than a further distance out ... Sometimes that has to do w/ taxes and distribution regulation. Ks has some odd law on the books about reselling natural gas from Ks vs getting from out of state. Politics made it better for out of state source suppliers by making local sources cost more than out of state ones. Some people in west Ks used to just burn off their gas to get to the oil to avoid the tax. The one farm I go to has their own natural gas well. They can use for themselves no problem. If I had that I'd use to heat a greenhouse.

Interesting. I suspected something of that nature. Thank you for the info.
Having your own well would be a great way to heat a commercial sized greenhouse. Maybe convert at least farm vehicles to it if not cost prohibitive to do so.

still needs to drop about $2/gal! Think it will go up so BP can offset their fines? We wouldn't want to be responsible for oil company execs living paycheck to paycheck would we? Attachments:

It should start to go down now that the Holiday is over!! I thought it was against the law to price gouge !!! Seems all the gas stations do it and get away with it!! Hmmmppp!

w8in4dave, speculators are driving the price up based on the Gaza/Israeli conflict.
I paid $2.98 and then about an hour later drove past the station and they had raised it to $3.12

The prices here have gone down drastically in just the week since TG! A friend filled up on Sun., and went by the place today, and it went down 7 cents! And he thought it was cheap on Sunday.
