It was another record breaking rainy season this spring. Now we're actually getting some sun & it's warming up - finally my plants won't be water logged & can get some sun to flower. My indoor garden is working out fairly good - the two organic tomato plants are producing & my using a q tip to pollinate seems to be working - just needed some sun & it's finally here. The dill & garlic chives are doing well & that's it because I wasn't sure if growing indoor in the bay window would work or not. Just wish a miracle would happen so I can get some land, plunk something on it & get to do my own gardening. I want out of the city & to sink my fingers into the soil & watch things grow - it's so frustrating not finding what you want because what you can afford isn't what you want or need - sigh. Things are heating up here -- should see temps in the high 80s or low 90s in a few days.

The last couple of days have stayed in the 90's. Around 96.5F today. I went back outside after 7.30 to carry water. I was sweating, so I checked the thermometer. At 8p, it was still 90F!
At midnight, it's 77F...

On it's way to 104 today. One more day of this shit. I think this is 10 - 11 day's staright over 100 most around 105. They are talking 93 tommorow and upper 80's for the most of the next week. I may have to get my parka out.

It is supposed to get into the triple digits here today - first time, but 11th or 12th time in a row over 90, and it has been in the high 90's, which the tomatoes don't like. However, as always, nothing likes heat better than peppers, and I have huge numbers of peppers out there, and many are way ahead of schedule.

We had a low of 69.5F Saturday morning. We were 86F for awhile which was 10 degrees lower than Friday and it felt great! Temps dropped to 76F for sometime and that was awesome.
Then the sun came out and back to the low 80's. Not bad.
At midnight, it's 65F and the windows are open.

Holy mackerel. I know it's only 9 A.M. but when you go outside it's not totally oppressive for once. Supposed to hit mid 90's today first time in a LONG time it hasn't been over 100.
Gotta get out to that garden the mators are calling.

We had a low this morning of 56F so the house cooled off. Though we hit 86F for awhile, it wasn't so humid. Much nicer to work outside.
While I was out pushing the mower at Mom's and trimming some brush on her drive, had a couple sprinkles.

This is beyond belief: it is only 64 degrees today. With a wee bit of rain [what the heck is that?] to boot. However, I am not pleased to note that it is supposed to get superhot once again in a couple of days.

Hey, Horsea! 64F sounds great. We had 69F for a low this morning and it's in the 80's and humid. At least we had a couple showers blow through this afternoon, enough to make me come inside for a bite.
Yesterday, we had 94F and the humidity is back. I was outside early and late.

We had 96F today, so it was the usual. Got out early and watered by hand. Nap in the afternoon. Out again around 7.30p for another round of watering and tying until dark.
At 12.45a, it's still 80F. Ugh!

We had 77F for a low. At 10.30a, it was already 90F. Got out before noon and carried lots of water. Had a high of 98F at my place.
Was in the car with a friend and the temperature was 100F! Around 5.30p, a thunderstorm came through and dropped .4". The temp dropped from 93F to 75F.
At 1.45a, it's still 70 degrees out.

Its 80°F at 05:30, due to make 100 by noon.
I'm gonna have blossom drop if this continues...

We're down to ONLY 40% chance of rain. Rain is spotty in the afternoon-could be raining across the road and not in my yard. FINALLY cut the 6 inch tall grass except at the edges of the yard where water is still standing. STINKS-smells like a swamp out there! Lovin the sunshine. At 7:30 this am was 80 degrees with 90% humidity. A 'sweatin' day.

It's been a little cooler at my place the past couple of days because of thunderstorms. The rain has been welcome, too. If I don't get a T-storm today it'll be in the low 90s, and humid. Of course, the summertime weather forecast here is almost exactly the same every day: Hot and humid, with a chance of scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms. There's really not much point in watching our weather forecast in the summer unless there's a tropical system coming our way. But in September we start watching again 'cause we're praying for the first cool front!

We had 62.5F this morning and a light rain. Quite refreshing. Low 70's today with some drizzle before dark.
With all the heat we've had, I'm seeing blossom drop. Yuck!
Before midnight, it's 63F.

Just had a few claps of thunder and a couple sprinkles pass through. The sun is back out and it's 87F(31C). Going back out for my second round of the day. I expect I'll be out past dark again.

74 and partly cloudy as of almost 11 p.m. It rained again all afternoon and into the evening. Some of the lightning was close enough to hear "CRACK" instead of "BOOM", too. It rained most days last week, and it looks like we have a higher than usual chance of rain every day this coming week, too. The rain was nice for a while, but all the wet and wind has blown over my okra. Hopefully the okra will get a day or two to recover soon. The melons and long beans seem to really enjoy the weather, though. This rain will really help size up the fruits on my orange tree - which looks better than it has all season, lush and deep green. I guess this rain washed my last fertilizer application down into the root zone.

After 1a, it's still 75F out. We're slated to hit 97F tomorrow, so I'll be out early and late. Four of the next five days we have a shot at rain. We really need it...

We ended up with 98F on Monday with a really hot wind. I went out with a flashlight at 10.40p and came face-to-face with a possum. He left after the second "get." It was still 83F.

Hit 65F this morning. It was 75F in my house. At my joint at 2.30p, there's a nice Lake Breeze and it's 79F! The Summer sun is still hot and I'll be carrying lots of water after I eat. Rain is coming and we have a 30% chance of Severe Weather tomorrow. The rain barrels are ready.

102 for yesterday yeah right it got up to 106. They were talking 105 today but it's already 102 so you figure it out.
Fully watering the gardens today. Ran a batch of fish emulsions on the main garden.
Too dang hot to be outside so I do it in spurts. The dog doesn't even want to come out and she loves the outdoors like me.
Stratcat what is this rain you are talking about. I am not familair with this term. Thanks.

Hey, Dono. I finally got to see my next door neighbor's garden four day's ago. That rain is the elusive substance that will close the cracks in his garden's soil.

Started out Wednesday morning at 53F. A few sprinkles on me when I walked in the afternoon. We got into the mid-80s for a high. Around 10p, there was a Tornado Warning two counties to the West. We still had 80F at 10.30p and went under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning. Currently, we're under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 3a and it is storming out. 70F and some rain.

There is something in the sky out there that is not blue. Should I worry?
