Hello to all! I just want to say that I enjoy growing a small vegetable garden each year that is basically tomatoes, onions and hot chili peppers for making salsa lol. Hope I find valuable information an learn a lot while here. Thanks and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Welcome smallgardener! Growing a salsa garden was how I really got into veggie gardening. There's nothing like pulling a jar of salsa off the pantry shelves in the winter knowing that it all came from your garden!
I'd love to hear about what you grow and about your salsa making!

Thanks ladymarmalade. My garden is very simple. 7 tomato plants which are: 2 window box roma 1 magnum beefsteak 1 beefmaster vfn hybrid 2 chefs choice orange and 1 celebrity hybrid.
The onions are the red and white walla walla. 25-30 of each.
Now the chili plants: 1 Thai red 2 Thai yellow 1 habanero chocolate 1 chili arbol 1 habanero red 1 Takanotsume 6 thai ornamental from the local HD And a few thai plants from a local market. All squished into a 4ft an 16ft raised garden. Some of the chili plants are in pots because I wanted to try them in just potting soil alone. The raised garden was already here when I bought the house so Im using what ever was inside an added four bags of potting soil. Ph level seems great but then Im sure there is more to it than just stickin a ph meter into the ground right? Lol

When ever we make salsa its done with a cheese grader an all the peppers onions an tomatoes get graded like a block of cheese. Salt, garlic powder an maybe some cilantro is added an thats basically it. Nothin fancy and it taste great too. Its a lot of work but well worth it. Way better than putting inside a blender! Lol

Thank you everyone. How does everyone prefer pics taken? From up above? Front of plant? Below? Up close of just the fruit? Just wondering. A pic from down below of a window box roma. Top view of a Thai ornamental

The angle from which you take your pictures is up to you. I've posted pictures from all sorts of perspectives over the years, depending on what I wanted each photo to show.
Early in the season I typically make seedling tray shots or whole plant shots to show how my little plant babies are growing. Later on I do a lot of fruit and bloom closeups, and sometimes whole plant shots shots if I want to show a specimen that is particularly small/large/has an unusual growth habit. When I am battling a pest or disease and need advice, I do close-ups of the damage or the suspected pest. If my garden is actually neat (a true rarity!) I might make a shot of the garden as a whole.
So just relax and post your garden photos!
