I don't know if you have a rooster It seems like every time we have a rooster, he gets too aggressive towards us and we end up giving him away. We like having a rooster because he really protects the flock from hawks. He just gives a special squawk and they all hide under the bushes. Last Fall hubby was at Tractor Supply and they were giving away chicks that did not sell and we ended up with a rooster again but this one is a bantam breed and is fairly calm so far. Hubby likes him so hopefully he will behave himself and be allowed to stay with the flock. We got 2 bantam hens at the same time. They are bigger than Little White and Little Brown but smaller than our other hens. They will not start laying any eggs until Spring.

I love all types of poultry. I've raised chickens, guinea, duck, dove, quail and pheasants. Truly remarkable creatures.
I don't have any at the moment, but if we ever quit traveling, I will!

We raised a few bobwhite quail about 25 years ago and they were super cute. I used to hard boil their little tiny eggs.

So will you name them Bigger Little White and Bigger Little Brown Actually they are black so they might be called Little Black. I have not looked at them closely enough to see how they are different from each other so they will probably not get names until Spring. I don't spend much time looking closely at them in the winter. The roosters always get called Mr."R" so he already has a name.

Mulching lawnmower with bag. I can clear an area and use the grass for compost and mulch. I can chop up leaves. I would not be gardening without a lawnmower. As a matter of fact, I own 2.
