LOL Exaactly!! It is there to use to move on hard ground but not so good in a yard. It pops up out of the way so you can till. But since there are no wheels it is VERY unstable! Being "angry mule" stubborn I learned to use it (also threatened to put holy water in the gas tank). But now you have an idea why I said that sucker took me for a run! I still have it, still use it in flower beds and still love it. so maybe it was not popular LOL I can see why! Now since I have a history with mine I will never give it up but I can see why no one else would be interested lol

spike , I think that all front tine tillers are like that. Ours is the same way. I can hardly use the thing myself. Hubby has the knack for it and since we only use it once a year he doesn't want to go to the expense of buying a rear tine tiller which is much easier. He always gets me to try our tiller and it throws me all over the place and try's to dig its way to China. I think that he really just likes me to see how hard he is working on my garden for me.

Seems like Honda had a tiller like that at one time.

I found a steal on a BCS and we have a small tractor that we have a 5' tiller for along with a 2 bottom plow, which we rarely use. I would love to never have to get any of them out but on my scale of gardening it isn't going to happen. I garden on about 2 acres. one is sweet corn the rest is fruit trees, berries, greenhouses, high tunnels and row crop gardening.
