I buy a generic brand of de-wormer capsules at Tractor Supply for the ferals. I just buy a can of wet food and open the capsule into the food and mix it in. They also sell a cheap brand of flea and tick protection that you put on the back of the cat's neck where it can't lick it off. It's a liquid in vials and is fairly cheap. I used to put this on the barn cats where I ride horses. I could never touch the feral cats.

RIP, CLEOCATRA, tdc. She normally showed up for meals and hung around a while to chat and then took off for parts unknown. For a while she was bringing one or two of her kittens who would hide in the bushes until I departed, then come out to share Mama's meal.
The kittens disappeared one by one. I assumed that varmints got them or some neighbor took them in---no way of knowing.
Then three days ago TDC failed to appear, but her evening meal disappeared overnight. Then nothing. Today I had a kid over to help me do a few things and he found TDC dead.
Poor TDC. Her youth was spent starving (and cat-arousing?), Then just as she had 40 pounds of dry cat food at her disposal the grim reaper took her.
Will Geese eat 30% protein dry cat food?

That extra food may bring in unwanted varmints! We have a skunk in the neighborhood who likes to eat out of the cat’s food dish whenever someone leaves the garage door open.
He has not sprayed inside our garage but .... he leaves enough lingering SCENT to make it obvious he’s been there .....

Drop it off at the local animal shelter/pound. They will be grateful for it.

Tallpines: I now about wildlife and pet food. There is a bunny here who shared the goslings growing mash.
LOL, one of those goslings is an outlaw. Smaller than the others, he will jump into the water bucket I have out for them (a gallon ice cream container) and act just like he had a big pond. He fills the entire bucket, but in he goes! I am going to cut holes in a lid, then put the lid on the bucket so that they can drink but he cannot swim.
