Don’t have a clue what these are, but they are kind of pretty.

Luke was driving me crazy last night, playing with the power cords that run behind the bed. Eventually he pushed this clock which does a night time ceiling display over on it's face. I kept yelling at him to no effect, typical cat!

These aren't the kind of sunflowers you are missing, spike, but I'm sure you'll like them. Those Mexican sunflowers are blooming more now, but not as much as the zinnias. I probably should trim them, to make them bush out, but I hate trimming away flower buds! The flowers also last only 5 or 6 days, before withering away, but they are quickly replaced. It was also slower than zinnias, so I'll have to start it earlier indoors, and start more, as it was lower %. But I'll also try to save some seeds - nothing else I have to worry about crossing with it! Something weird happened a couple of days ago, while I was snipping some okra in the morning (when that area is shaded) - a ruby throated hummingbird came up to feed on one of those, about a foot from my face, went to another one, then it was gone! I have been watching to see if it has been there since, but it hasn't, and I hadn't seen them in my garden before, either. A Mexican Sunflower, with a bumblebee flying away, that didn't want it's picture taken. by pepperhead212, on Flickr Another Mexican Sunflower, with a butterfly I often see on them, but not on zinnias or other flowers around the garden. by pepperhead212, on Flickr

Here's one of my garden helpers! With so many pests, it's nice to have a friend out there! I have quite a few of these anoles around, but this one is mostly hanging out in the corn.

A couple weeks ago, I was out for a walk around town after 9p and saw this funny cloud.

From yesterday - first picking of my container beans this year. I added some yellow wax beans on Mom's request and more containers. Never have grown wax beans before.

A month ago at my place, scared this rascal by the house at 11.30p. Treed it up the cedars by my slab. 🦝 I have a motion detector light with two bright led bulbs.

stratcat , I love your two tone squirrel, have never seen one like that, did not know they existed, but had to go looking and found out there are such rare black and white mutations. Send it along to my neighborhood!

Here's a colorful photo you'll like spike, except that it's of beans. I made a bean salad, using a lot of things from the garden - fresh beans, garlic, basil, jalapeño peppers, garlic chives, and all those cherry tomatoes. Bean salad, with garlic and basil, as main seasonings. by pepperhead212, on Flickr On the leftovers, I'll add some other ingredients, like black olives.

In the last year, I've spent lots of time picking up my big nephew to bring him home to Grandma's. After I saw this business in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, I just had to pull over and get a picture. Immediately, I thought of Seinfeld with Kramer's vanity license plate. 😁

From October 23, 2022. Elephanthead Amaranth saluting the fine townsfolk that have been causing me trouble since I first started receving "The Letter" in August, 2OOl. I stared the city down after they threatened me with legal action last year. Somebody even called the cops on me last summer. Had the county mounties pull in my yard after dark threatening me and wouldn't let me talk. Small towns, small minds. I'm gardening. There was a barn in my yard when my uncle was a kid. None of this is new. Grow on.
