Straight off the plant? Only the sweet ones, not even a Jalapeno. I can't even chop peppers hotter than Jalapenos without my hands getting hot and tingly. They have to be cooked in something and then I can go up to Habanero in heat.
Erwin, a Labuyo? Seriously? You're my hero.

Nothing kills pain like pain! Remember this, anyone that gets migraines, or has other severe pains of any type.
I had to try the bhut jolokia, but it really is almost too hot to kill pain with. I can only chew them for about 30 sec., and the pain is worse than when I used to chew red savinas until I could not keep them in my mouth any longer - about 1 1/2- 2 1/4 min. I used to do this before I got back surgery, and the pain was so bad that 60 mg. of codeine (that's a lot, even for somebody my size!) would only let me sleep 3-3 1/2 hrs, while I could sleep 6-6 1/2 hrs. after the red savina endorphins kicked in.
We used to get people to pop red savinas at parties when my pepper friend's very young half-sister would pop them with us, and none of the guys could be shown up by an 8 year old girl (when she started it!). Turns out, her dad is one of those that has a VERY small number of taste bud nerves in his mouth, and NOTHING was hot to him. And she inherited this! It was so funny seeing these guys almost passing out from the heat, and she would say things like "Yeah, it was pretty hot, but not THAT hot". Funny thing was - she wouldn't try the bhut jolokia years later when she saw my reaction (and her cousin's - another one who always popped peppers).
Another funny thing we used to do was give people a large mug of iced tea, to kill the pain. We found out by accident, that it does the opposite, and years later found out that this is due to a chemical in the tea making the heat seem stronger. The ice makes it go away briefly, then come back stronger! Of course, I drank the tea, too, because I wanted the heat stronger! LOL

I don't think I have ever eaten any just straight up. Hub eats chipotles like chips and puts chopped hot Thai etc on everything. Hub also wakes up in the night with the midnight surprises! for some reason pickled hot peppers get him the worst.

One of my daughters-in-law is a hot pepper fan and told me I couldn't grow a pepper so hot she couldn't eat them. The challenge was on. First I grew Fatalii and she munched them like candy. The next year it was whatever people said was the hottest ever. The third year it was Orange Habenero. They looked innocent enough until she took a big bite. Tears began rolling down her cheeks and she ran for the bread and milk to soften the blow. She said,"Now that one is a little warm." The next year I sent them a jar of Bhut Jolokia salsa. A little goes a long way on that one, too.

I took a small bite of a bhut, (not the seeds, though!) and it didn't kill me. In years past there were times when I ate 2 or 3 habs sometimes. Tears ran for maybe 10 minutes but the endorphin rush lasted longer, great fun! I could eat 2 at once of my pickled habs back then as well. I've since lost my tolerance for heat, I don't eat that many jalapenos, although I can eat a ton on my nachos.

I agree with peppereater-I lost a lot of my tolerance. I used to eat lots of hot peppers, now not too often raw, unless they're on nachos-still love the jalapenos on them!

I accidentally ate a piece of an Orange Thai last night when we had Vietnamese Hotpot soup and that made me cough and drink a large glass of iced mint tea in about 5 seconds. That's a tiny pepper and the piece I had was about 1/4" if that.
