AKA miracle, and resurection lili's.
Call me Andy Jackson, but most of a bed of this very pink late blooming lilis went out to my local free-cycle, today.
I dunno if you could eat 'em but they definately in the onion family.

Always known to me as Surprise Lillies, my MIL called them "Nekid Ladies" and I about lost it since she wouldn't say nekid for any other reason. After she passed away, we bought her home as our retirement home. Now that's all we call the dozens of them in her beautiful flower gardens we inherited.
