So what are the rest of you trying out there? A bunch more new ones, too?

I couldn't find my seed today. Hopefully, tomorrow I'll get my peppers sown.

This year I started: Bhut Jolokia (have to try it at least once ) Caribbean Red Habanero Chocolate Habanero Suave Habanero Santa Fe Grande Purple Jalapeno (tons of these, my favorite tasting pepper) Grande Jalapeno Espellettes (sp?) Tam Jalapeno I will end up with 18-20 plants in the ground. I mainly grow them for salsa/hot sauce making endeavors. One of these years I will track down some 7-pot and Trinidad Scorpion seeds to give them a go too.

On the 5th, I finally found my pepper seeds. Here's what I've planted: SweetBuran HotPurira-yellow fruit w/purple blush pointing up Tabasco Lemon Drop Female (Girl)-seed from the 90's soaked overnight in weak Miracle-Gro to see if I can reanimate it. Already going- A 2-year old Bellingrath Gardens Purple and 4 babies My lines all hotPurple Fire-Purira x ? (BGP?) Purple fruit and blush on leaves. Striking. Big Purple Fire-same line PP Y/P-same line yellow fruit w/purple blush hanging down Big Block-same line with additional pollen. Hot small bell-shaped fruit turn purple where sun hits. If I'm offered a Bhut Jolokia, Peter or California Wonder plant I won't turn them down.

Those Maui Purple seeds, which are from some peppers I harvested in 2004(!), have almost all germinated in 9 days or less! I planted a bunch of them, figuring I would be lucky if just a few germinated, and it was about 90+% germination. And almost every one of the T&M Thai dragon seeds I bought 4 or 5 years ago have also come up already. Makes you wonder about some of these other seeds...
