I've never tried bulbs before but hubby helped me build a couple of beautiful new flowerbeds this spring and I decided that bulbs were a must. So I picked up some Gladiolus and Asian lily bulbs and planted them an they're all coming up beautifully! The asian lilies have buds on them! So I have a question...is it okay to plant spring blooming bulbs in with summer blooming bulbs? For example, I'd love to plant some giant hycinth's in there and maybe some tulips...how far apart would they need to be from the lilies and glads?

For perrenial bulbs, I give them enough room to calve a few times before needing to move or divide them. Once a bed is filled in with children some folks will leave those beds go for many years. Somehow I talk myself into needing to feed them and fiddle with 'em-- that I am not at all sure they need.
