Yesterday, I took my frozen 2011 Black Raspberries to my Friendgirl, Annette's house to make wine. I did end up with 12 quarts (13.2liters) of berries at almost 20 pounds (9kg). Annette had ~5 pounds (2.3kg) to add that she had picked from her raspberry plants I had given her over the years. It's going to be a pretty big batch. After the wine was started, I drank two homemade Chocolate Stouts that were delicious. We talked about last year's tomatoes and this year's. Garden catalogs were out and issues of Organic Gardening from the late '90's. Tested some Dandelion wine that was good. Then we went outside and visited the horses. Seen the gardens that were being worked with the tractor and wide tiller. To conclude the garden tour, we checked out the flowers that were coming up around the house and some fruit trees and bushes. Saw the grapes from a distance. After more conversation, I came home with 1.75L of Black Raspberry wine we started on 16 August, 2009, and a huge jug of Concord wine.
