Everyone be on guard, grab your copper sprays and your reserve plants. Blight has been "spotted" and it is only the first week of May.
How is it in your area?

I just came in a little while ago from pruning all my tomato plants - they have it bad. I've been so busy this week with work, it snuck up on me. They all got a major hair cut. In addition, I had to throw out 5 maters from BER. All "Dora" - I am so looking forward to this one. We've been dry for the past 3 years, and I've forgotten how much rain contributes to disease. (it's raining now)

I have been seeing it already also, but not real bad yet, been trimming as I see it so maybe it won't be really bad for me this year!

I spotted just a few leaves of it today, too. I haven't gotten much rain; in fact, we are over 4" below average so far. I tried some actinovate this year, in the soil plus as a spray, to see if that would work - I'll keep you posted. Maybe I would have had more w/o it?
