Do you make it from scratch or a mix? Is it fermented or not-alcoholic? I love root beer.

Here is the recipe. Take a gallon jar glass or plastic jug(must have screw on lid) and fill it 1/2 full of warm water. Using a funnel add 2 cups sugar, 2 Tablespoons of root beer extract and 1 scant teaspoon dry yeast. With the lid on, shake to dissolve sugar and yeast. Fill the jug the rest of the way with water to within 2-3 inches from the top. Screw the lid back on and let set for 12 hours at room temperature. Then store in the fridge. I use regular baker's yeast but it is a little yeasty so some use wine yeast. It's still good even with bakers yeast. I use McCormick(SP) extract because the cheap kinds seem to be watered down but it's expensive but ya can use what ya want.
