Gasoline and oil products make them go away. You put some oil in a small container and put the container underneath the affected plant. The evaporation process smells so bad to them they will simply fly away...

Wow that's new to me. thanks for the tip. I just hope that the pesky cat wont spill the gasoline on the soil.

I used insecticidal soap by safers. For me this more an indoor and in cold frame problem.

Get some bright yellow pieces of plastic, and coat both sides with a good sticky goo. The yellow will attract them, the glue will keep them. I've used yellow paper before, but it won't last very long in Filipino rains.

When I said Oil, I meant Oil that is used for filling up and driving cars (not vegetable oil)...
