How far apart do you plant them in a raised bed to get the best production?

Hi dumbweeds, I plant mine about 2ft. apart in both directions, but some gardeners will plant closer.

Howdy dumbweeds and tillertom, welcome to NJT, I'm one that plants a little closer, my beds are just 3' wide so I plant a row down each side and one down the middle which makes them about 1' apart roughly.

Welcome to the board! I plant my greens indoors around 3-20, then transplant about 3 weeks later, here in S Jersey. I also plant some in fall, but that varies greatly, depending on weather. I plant mine 16 in apart, which sounds strange, but I run a T-tape down the middle, which has the emitter holes 8 in apart, then I plant a zigzag double row, with the plants at every other wet spot on the tape. Sounds a little close, but even the largest, like senposai, do well, and they shade out most of the weeds.

I do the same as Dave, 8" apart and the biggest of my greens are the mustards, but I harvest the outside leaves very often to make more space.

Heh, mine are all planted way too close, then. But then again, I like baby greens. So I can harvest every other one and leave the others to mature.
