Did you like it as far as a yellow tomato, and how was your production?

I received Tom's Yellow Wonder seeds from Tom Mickolas in 2006 and planted them in 2007. I know that was a long time ago. I had to dig into the archives for information on this one. 2007 was shortly after moving from fertile Iowa to a very infertile garden spot in Nebraska. After seven years of work my garden is just now beginning to show promise. Anyway, early in the year Tom's seemed to be very healthy but for some reason did not ripen very quickly. Finally in August it began to produce. There were several tomatoes in the 8-12 ounce range and a couple were at 1 pound. If weather was a factor, that was before that was included in my journal.
Production was a little low, but then everything produced less in the new garden spot. Probably a function of soil laying unworked for 75 years and me not having a handle on how to grow things in the soil. Taste was indicated at 3/5, the same ratings as several of my favorite varieties, so what does that really mean?
After seven years of not growing Tom's Yellow Wonder, it is down in the basement trying to sprout for this year.

Suze sent me seed for Tom's Yellow Wonder and I grew it in 2008. It fit the description and tasted like a typically mild yellow tomato. It didn't look at all like it was waxed.
