Welcome to the board! Always nice chatting with another pepper lover. Thanks pepperhead212. I was just goin to order some pepper plants from a website but noticed that the shipping ($29) was goin to be more than the order itself. Which would have been a total of $59 for 6 plants. Would you might have any info on were i could order different varieties of hot peppers at a decent price possibly?

Welcome aboard !
Sorry, can't help much on getting inexpensive pepper plants as I grow all mine from seed. --partly because of the higher shipping costs for plants. Have you thought about starting from seed? Or is it already getting too late to seed for your locale? Any good Farmer's Markets or garden/green houses in your neck of the woods that might caryy what you are looking for?
Hopefully someone will chime in with a pepper plant resource. Or you might want to ask in the Pepper section or Wanted section.
Anywho, glad you joined us!

I'm not sure where you found the bad shipping prices, but the best place online for buying chili pepper plants is right here in my state, but even shipping to you, the highest rate, is only $19.00 for 6-12 plants. And I'm sure you could find 6 more varieties to get up to the max! Here is the link to chileplants.com showing their prices and shipping rates. I have never bought from them, but several friends have, and have always gotten great plants.

I was just given some seeds for Carolina Reaper yesterday when I went to a hydroponics place (the owner knows me well, as I have been delivering his mail since he opened many years ago, and he got me started on hydroponics!). He said he had a problem with the carolina reaper when the heat went out briefly, and they are only about 3" tall now, while the rest of the superhots he planted at the same time are huge - over 8", and almost that large in diameter. So be sure to keep them warm!

Or are you sayin they just need to be warm during the first few weeks? this will be your first season trying the carolina reaper as well?

No, they don't have to be in a greenhouse, but don't put them in a basement, or a place like that which would get cool. This is pretty much true for any peppers, but the reaper is obviously more sensitive to cool (he told me it got down to around 50 degrees). And this is my first year with it, too.
