Does anyone have experience with how kale tolerates heat and humidity? I have a minute amount planted just to see how it will handle this south MS summer.

I have some in a green house that is very hot the last 3 weeks, and other than some going to seed (and it may have done this anyway) it seems to do just fine in the heat, I would love to know what others have to say on the topic

That's interesting. I might be able to grow it year round, then.

It usually bolts when the heat of summer hits.

I usually plant mine early so I can get a mess of them before it gets hot as mine do bolt in the summer heat, then more go in when it starts cooling down again in the early fall...

Some of my Lacinato (a.k.a. dinosaur) kale is bolting already, and it hasn't even been all that warm. Then again, I did grow these plants over the winter, so they are pretty big.
