Today we had 49F(9C) and spitting rain a little. One degree away from short pants. Got this pic today from the Blizzard Warning of 2 February, 2011. This Ground Hog saw his shadow! My beard is tucked in the parka whilst snow blowing at my neighbor's. Areas in my county got 13-14"(33-35.5cm) of new snow reported!

Strat, you're so cute ;D It's snowing here again! After so long without snow and some spring flowers popping out, I really thought we are in for a nice early spring, but this snow has proven me wrong...

More snow overnight. Looks mild out but gray. I wish spring would arrive here, but we usually have this kind of weather til the second week of April.

Today in my brother's town right before dark. We saw three deer, a few geese, some ducks were flying, saw where beavers at the river bank cut down a couple trees. There were some huge turkey tracks in the snow! A touch of grey, indeed. My beard is still tucked in.

Hey, Phil! No one's seen my face since 1985. My beard not only blocks the wind and snow big time, it also keeps sun off my face in the summer.
Mom picked up my snowshoes in "Da U.P., eh?" They're Army issue from ca. 1953 for Korean War. I had to replace the original leather bindings.

I reckon here in Minnesota I could go year around with me beard, got used to summer shavin it when I lived back in Missouri... Very nice shoes, they are becoming very popular here, can't beat Army issue, and being from the 50's...the workmanship of the "new" style shoes leaves alot to be desired, have thought of making some from ash and leather...having time is the only problem...

We had terrible winds overnight, but it's calm now. Forecast said some sun. I'd like to know whereabouts the forecast was for cuz I haven't seen any here yet? A lot of our snow has melted. It's just the icy chunks in shady parts of the yard and in the woods out back that still have white.

We're under a Winter Storm Warning tonight and tomorrow. We may get 6-14"(15-35.5cm) of the white stuff. Yikes! Before I go to bed tonight I'll be out shoveling where we feed the birds.

More like May than March. I bitterly hate the cold but I do like the different weather EACH month provides...so I want my March weather...waahhh
