First mis-shapen kohlrabi in all the hundreds that I have grown trough the years. These VERY late kohlrabis are still good, at least the two I used so far. Not at all hard, like the giant kussack got, when harvested this late.

pepperhead212, I know taste buds are different with everyone but can you give a description on what they taste like and how you use them??

Tom,
They taste similar to the core of a cabbage, but milder (some of those can be quite hot!), or maybe broccoli stems, with a hint of turnip. In fact, I use them in a lot of oriental recipes calling for peeled and sliced broccoli stems, and, like those, very crunchy. I also use them raw, in salads, and I've used them in place of cauliflower in Indian dishes. Easy to grow veggie, in spring or fall.
