Everything is coming in at one time it seems. The past couple days I've been very busy.
Yesterday, I canned 24 quarts of tomato sauce and juice, and 16 pints of salsa. I used Annie's salsa recipe again this year.
I have lots more tomatoes coming in this week, so more canning later on.
Today I have 4 1/2 dozen ears of corn to freeze and and then I've got buckets full of green beans to do.
I used a lot of yellow tomatoes in my sauce so it looks orange...lol
Busy, busy, busy!!

I'm glad your tomatoes are finally ripening. They sure took their time. The warm days and nights have sped things up in the garden. Eight days ago, a friend dropped over to check out my garden. Her tomatoes weren't ripening except for some San Marzanos. She grows interesting tomatoes, too. I've been very lucky that my tomatoes have been ripening and I'm ahead of schedule in my tasting and seed saving.
Beans and corn are good, too!

I did 6 more qts of sauce and 8 pts of salsa last night. I still have tomatoes, but boy, am I tired of canning! My kitchen is a disaster.
I wish I was one of those people who can work spotlessly. Not me, I cut a tomato and the seeds shoot out with such force they hit the wall, the floor, etc. I wipe up what I see at the time, but I know I've missed a lot. ;(
I'm the one who can't stir the sauce without it hitting my shirt, the wall, etc. Needless to say, once canning is done, my kitchen will get a top to bottom cleaning and I know I'll be scraping random dried tomato seeds off the floor, walls, ceiling...lol...
