We have 3 vehicles that are covered in ice and need your ideas of getting into them... HELP...

Long cord and a hair dryer works well. Big screwdriver will also work but could damage the seal.

In addition to what Martin said, I've used a claw hammer to gently pry/pull the door open on my old car. Those door handles aren't as strong as you'd think. When the door lock is frozen, heat the key with a lighter to get in. Don't burn your fingers.
I'm leery about using a hair dryer on the glass, tho'. Could crack it. Lots of elbow grease with an ice scraper works. Worry it...

Sorry, can't help you. I cover my car door with a tarp begore the storm hits so that I can get in. Still have to break the ice, but it helps. Hope you didn't get a lot!

A commercial de-icer spray is simply rubbing alcohol, so if you have any, try that!
