Lipstick is a great sweet pepper. It ripens red quickly and has delicious flavor. I often let peppers ripen fully on the plant and the only flaw I see with lipstick is that longitudinal cracks sometimes form which provide pathways for decay.

I have some Lipstick peppers growing now, trying them for the first time. Compact plants, but healthy so far. They have little peppers now; hopefully I can give you a taste review in a few weeks.

I got my first few ripe Lipstick peppers finally, but I think mine may be crossed with something else.
First, the peppers are bigger than I expected; the largest are almost the size and shape of tapered bells, and have 3 lobes. Most have only a single lobes and somewhat smaller, but still bigger than I expected.
The walls are also medium-thin, and they are only somewhat sweet. They have a slight spiciness to them. They are not hot, but there is definitely a little capsaicin in there, maybe a few hundred Scovilles.
So, these are not going to be my go-to snacking pepper like I thought. However, they are tasty in a mild salsa and I think that due to their slight spiciness they would be good stuffed with cream cheese (and a bit of bacon) and grilled or baked. They would probably be tasty sliced on a pizza, too.
I probably need to get some more seeds from a different source and grow these again to give a fair review.
