I planted 149 cloves of garlic today - 54 Music, 53 Estonian Red, and 42 Metechi. Then I filled in the rest of the double row with 35 shallots. Now, I just have to grind a bunch of those leaves up to mulch them!

Here is my garlic so far. It looks like it will be getting a lot of rain the next several days.

Whoo, that's a lot of garlic, and it looks very nice. I'm interested in hearing the answers to daylilydude's questions about your garlic, too.

Hi DLD! I do sell some of the garlic. I try to give away as much as possible. Of course, I eat an awful lot too. My selections include rocamboles, artichokes, purple stripes, creoles, turbans, silverskins and porcelains. I use to have about 120 varieties, but I have lost some to disease over the years (currently only two varieties of porcelain). I find my zen while weeding - garlic and onions especially. ......................... I'll try to stop in more often. It's great to see this community is active. It has been a long time. B

I planted Music and Ajo Rojo and was given some from a festival in NJ (supposed to be really hot but no clue what it is). The Music and NJ Surprise lol is coming up nicely but the not one of the Ajo RoJo.
I have a tub of Egyptian Walking onions on the porch, green onions in flower pots hanging from the porch rail, red, yellow and white onions in a raised bed. Looking lovely they are!
