Is that Flathead Monster Orange or another color? I've grown the orange, and it's a fine tomato; it's very tasty and has a lovely bright color.

Here's my list for the season. A couple are freebies (*) so I may or may not try them, depending on what else I end up with in trades. Sunchocola, Sungreen, and Suntreats I tried because they are supposedly related to sungold. And you can see that I have a high % of cherries/small fruited varieties, and that is because when I get those heat spells here, which cause most tomatoes to drop their blossoms, cherries rebound very fast, while larger ones take forever. Still looking for those heat resistant/good tasting varieties!
New: Larger varieties : Black Vernisage Blight Buster* Cherokee carbon Defiant Warrior*
Cherries: Candy Sweets Chocolate Sprinkles Sunchocola Sungreen Suntreats Sweet Treats
Old:
Large Varieties: Amish Gold Big Beef
Cherries: Black Cherry Green Tiger Sunrise Sunsugar

Is that Flathead Monster Orange or another color? I've grown the orange, and it's a fine tomato; it's very tasty and has a lovely bright color. Tatiana lists Flathead Monster as yellow. The story is that Dorothy Beiswenger of Minnesota listed it as yellow in SSE. She sent seeds to Bill Malin and for him it was more a black; his seeds have produced yellow, red, orange and pink fruit. My Flathead was pink. No matter the color I have never heard of anyone who did not enjoy the taste. So the original is yellow but it seems it crosses easily and has. My list this year was posted somewhere earlier but due to some really old seeds(12 to 15 years old) not germinating here is a revised look without separation into categories: Fish Lake Oxheart Blue Ridge Mountain Kolb Ernesto Rebel Yell Earl's Faux Russian Bogytar Orange Russian #117 India Joe's Portuguese Black Cherry Cowlick's Brandywine Nepal Marianna's Peace Kellogg's Breakfast Wes Brad's Black Heart Heatherington Pink Goliath Karol London Pearly Pink Cherry Daniel Burson Carbon Ludmilla's Pink Big Cheef Ambrosia Red Tsar Kolokol Aunt Ginny's Purple Hungarian Heart

I got the seeds from Spud about 5 years ago or so, and it does have in his little description that it is a black, so we will just have to wait and see?

Anyone know the difference between Pink Peach and Garden Peach toms?
I recently bought some Pink Peach seeds thinking they would be peach-like in any case, having grown Garden Peach several years ago.

Garden Peach is mid-season regular leaf so called white (light yellow)salad sized heirloom, history unknown, most seeds came from Reimer Seeds.
Pink Peach is a mid-season regular leaf pink round salad sized heirloom introduced by D. Landreth and Sons of Philadelphia in 1885; also called Red Peach and seed source is also Reimer Seeds.
Neither are fuzzy like another 'Peach", Wapsipinicon Peach which is a white/yellow salad sized heirloom.

Thanks, PaulF, for all that info. However, the seed catalogues claim that Pink & Garden peaches are fuzzy, if I recall correctly. Maybe Wapsipinicon is what I really want...

I went to Reimer's and they say the Red Peach/Garden Peach is fuzzy, so I am misinforming you. I bet the Pink Peach is also fuzzy just because every other tomato with the name 'peach' is fuzzy. Sorry for the wrong answer.

I've never even heard of Reimer's til you mentioned them. Anyway, I've started my Pink Peach (and 5 other varieties) and here goes for 2017...

Ooh, you have some nice tomatoes on there. Girl Girl's Weird thing and Orange Russian #117 are really tasty, and Rebel Yell is my all-time favorite. Atkinson is a good tough (in terms of plant health, I mean!) tomato.
