no, no, no i'm not talking about taste right now, i'm thinking shape... that perfectly round tomato to be exact. You always see different shapes in tomatoes, but can you tell us which ones you have grown that just had that perfect shape?
EDITED TO ADD: Just what causes all the different shapes in tomatoes that are the same plant?

I'm not sure I've ever had a perfect one.
But I've grown a bunch of varieties of small to midsize (up to about 8 oz) tomatoes that were pretty close to perfectly round. If the shape matters, look for varieties whose descriptions talk about a round shape and uniform shape.
I don't think I have ever grown a big tomato (10 oz or more) that wasn't at least a little flattened, elongated in one direction, or flat-out irregular in shape. But many of them are still regular enough in shape to make nice slices.
The tomatoes I don't like are the tomatoes that form from megablooms. They are great if you're growing to win big tomato contests, but not so great in the kitchen. They usually have lots of different sections and are usually badly catfaced, too. They also seem prone to having a big, irregular core that extends at weird angles throughout most of the tomato, too. Trimming out the core and catfacing seems to waste a lot of the fruit...not to mention my time!
