10-23 all remaining tomato plants got pulled. This is the last harvest of the year: Quoting the Doors, "This is the end."

Looks like your garden gave you a lovely parting gift! I'll have a few tomatoes this week, but not near that many.
Wednesday and Thursday are my days this week to tackle the garden. We're now expected to skip a light frost and go right to freezing overnight by the end of the week.

Bring on the frost, I've been ready for it for a month. Shelves are full with enough canned goods to last 5 years. Even ran out of friends needing more salsa. Friend showed up this morning to pick some callaloo and green tomatoes. He'll be back Friday for another load before it freezes.

paulf, the wife was looking at your pic and was drooling over the big orange/gold tomatoes and wanted to know what variety they were?

That is Kellogg's Breakfast, one of our 'every year' varieties. KBX is KB's brother/sister/cousin variety. The same only with a potato leaf. Another yellow/gold in the photo is Orange Russian 117 and it is the heart shaped variety.
KB is very sweet, almost fruity, is very productive and averages about 12-16 ounces and can get up to 2 pounds.

KBX produced my largest tomato ever - over 2 lbs. Great flavor, too, but, as with many around here, heat did them in several times, the only reason I stopped growing them, and KB. May try again, and hope for a year like this year!
