Seeded green onions three weeks ago. Now they are about 2-3 inches tall. I've only grown them from multipliers and not seed. Will I have mature onions by Christmas?

You have the seed packet? Should give the days to maturity. Evergreen is the most common and it's 65 days from emergence. You should be close if you have that type.

paquebot, I do not have the packet, but most were evergreen. Thanks, that confirms my plan. I forgot that I could simply check DTM

I forgot that I could simply check DTM How did your onions do? down here in Texas, I plant 1015 onions from plants around the last of January. I plant them fairly close together and when they start to growing well, I pull every other one to use as green onions. i haven't grown them from seed though.
