I've eaten them before, though never planted them. I believe that they are the pickled peppers that you find in antipasto.

This might help a bit, but I'm almost sure that there are many varieties under this cover......

I've grown both hot and sweet but usually the sweet ones. The plants are small, 18-24 inches tall or so. I wait until they're red to pick them. They're excellent pickled and I sometimes include them in the jars with bread and butter pickles. Also good raw or sautéed with omelets. My favorite way to eat them is to cut the tops off and scoop out the seeds, stuff with those little balls of fresh mozzarella. Spray with olive oil and grill until the peppers begin to soften and the cheese begins to melt. I already have seed started for this year's garden. Looking forward to them.

I have not grown these, only hot ones, but now I feel the need to.
