I bought one of these to keep track of the temps in the greenhouse without having to run in and out checking it... so, where in the greenhouse would you put the sensor?

I would try it in the center, then place it in different locations, just to see how different, the temps would be.

I would put it about 2/3 the way up if looking to know when to open it up to get rid of extra heat. I would put it about 6 inches over the ground if looking to see if it is getting to cold
either way it should be in the shade all the time and not near a wall.
I would likely end up hanging it in the middle of the seat section under a chair

I would probably get one of those flat wooden sticks that people use to stir paint, cut it in half and attach the sensor to that and then poke it into a clay pot filled with gravel to keep it from falling over. That way you could put it on the shelf with your plants and keep it from getting wet laying on the shelf.
You can also move the pot around to check temps in different areas but you are mainly interested in the temperature in the plant zone I would think.

For sure figure out some way to keep shade on it when the sun is out.

I put mine close to the top or about 8" up if its the tallest house. I have tomatoes that will grow pretty high. once it gets over 95° in the house the pollen becomes sticky... If I can open the sides I want them open. if they are already open I am in trouble.
