This is the funniest looking thing I've ever seen. I have 160 plants, but only 1 looks like this. I should add, It's looked like this from day one.

This one has the "crazy gene". I have seen this once also. Not sure if it is not a virus affecting the growth pattern or just a mutation. Interesting.

It almost looks a little like it wants to be Stick! Any chance you have that little guy in a cup that didn't get drainage holes? Excess moisture/salt content can cause branch curling.

It has drainage holes, but it should have been repotted. I'm learning I'm just not able to do the things I have done in the past. Normally, I pot them in bigger cups between 12-16 oz., but this year I just have 8oz cups. I never intended to have 160 plants to care for, but when I start choosing and planting, look out. I gave 20 plants to my SIL yesterday. My Sister said she would take 20. My friend down the road gets 20 and I'll still have more than I need.

I love your Hillbilly, though my first thought was celery! 160 plants to begin with, minus 60 still leaves a lot unless you have LOTS of land! Best of luck sharing them, just wish we lived closer so we could trade.
Plant the Hillbilly. Can't wait to see the red fruit from this plant.
