Our tomato harvest is just now beginning. The early heat has held us back. The plants are smaller and so are the tomatoes. The numbers of fruit is the same as usual, but the poundage will be diminished. My theme this year is hearts and blacks with an orange salad grown for my wife (she doesn't like it much). One black ended up being a small red salad (which she does like). No giants this year but every variety has been very tasty. I will accept great flavor over huge fruit...but then I get what grows. Let's see other tomato harvests. Alfred Austin

Ditto what Paulf said about the tomatoes. These are Cherokee purple and some type of striped one. Also got squash, okra, and a few cucumbers.

I've been reading that the tomatoes of many here are done producing... Mine are right in the middle of producing very well... There are many more on the vines... This is 2 days picking...minus a bunch that didn't make the photo shoot...

Those are beautiful ahntjudy, that is what mine USUALLY look like but this year has been different for me. With all of this rain and humidity I have been picking a few at a time and letting them finish ripening in the house. I got enough tomatoes but nothing really extra like usual.
