I'm gearing up for 2019! Here's my tomato grow list.
Big Beef Park's Whopper Chef's Choice Pink Chef's Choice Black Goliath Original Beefmaster
Cherry Varieties:
Large Red Cherry Snow White Purple Bumblebee (hopefully)
All the cherry varieties will be grown in containers. The rest are hybrids...nematode resistant hybrids, since I have developed a nematode infestation.
What varieties are y'all planning to grow in 2019?

I am cutting down this coming year. Just Black Cherry and that Italian Romanesque that I planted last year. The experimentation will be in okra, a shell bean, and three types of jalapeño planted separately so that seed can be saved. Planting eggplant for the first time in four years also.

@jong, how do the Chef's Choice tomato varieties hold up to leaf diseases? Foliage diseases are just awful here, and I figure they must be a problem in MS, too. Do they set any fruit in hot and humid conditions?
Thanks!

Laura_in_FL,all 6 of the Chef's Choice are resistant to at least 2 or 3 foliar diseases. No nematode resistance, which you might need. All are indeterminate hybrids. I can get them for cost plus 50¢ postage if anyone wants to try them. Martin The truth is more important than the facts.

I appreciate the offer but 3 separate planting locations for the seeds already purchased is about my limit. Especially since I only know where 2 of them are so far. Maybe the next year if the two new ones are duds.

Here is my list, so far, of tomatoes for the 2019 season. I ordered the Chef's Choice from Pinetree - the photo looks like orange - mainly because I liked the sound of the resistance to a number of foliar diseases (really bad here this last season, due to moisture).
NEW Large fruited Chef's Choice F1 Stupice
Small fruited Cherry Bomb F1 Jasper F1 Sprite
These I've grown before and may or may not grow a few of them, depending on how many more new ones I get. OLD
Amish Gold Slicer? Big Beef Burracker's Favorite Green Tiger Pretty In Pink ? Sunset Falls - succession planting this one

The Chef's Choice Pink that I grew last season was a champ! The only foliar disease that I noticed was a bit of septoria...nothing major, though. My 3 plants produced heavily all year...a very flavorful tomato....I really can't say enough about it! They were blooming and putting on fruit right up til the frost got em. If memory serves, I had 6 or 7 that weighed >1 lb...

paquebot, @jong, the Chef's Choice sounds worth a try! Martin, you are right that nematodes are awful here - in fact they are SO terrible that even the nematode-resistant varieties fail in my yard. Because of that I only grow tomatoes in containers (Earthboxes) which are isolated from ground contact. I am thinking of placing an order with Jung's for plants, in which case I will pick up some Chef's Choice seeds also.

...and I forgot the Chef's Choice when I was ordering. But that's okay, because I already had waaaaay more tomatoes than I can grow.

Beefsteaks and Slicers Brandywine, Sudduth's Strain Healani Jewel Tone Marizol Bratka Mrs. Maxwell's Big Italian Purple Reign Rebel Yell Solar Flare Spectrum's Surpriz F6 (2 plants)
