Hubby's Echinopsis cactus bloomed again today. I saw 50 buds but only 30 opened today. I guess that the other 20 will open tomorrow. The blooms open at night and are closed and wilted by Noon. We have had this cactus for years and have never seen it bloom like this. No bees visit these flowers. Where they are native are the deserts of south America and they are pollinated by moths. brownrexx , that cactus is a marvel! I assume you've been protecting it from all the rain you've been getting, but maybe it feels all the moisture in the air and thinks it's a long spring in the desert?
