I found these popping up in the garden. Sunflowers maybe? I have an area that I removed the rock to do something different. So I thought I'd transplant the volunteers and see what happens. So I took a bulb planter and made holes. I then went to the garden and used the bulb planter to get the sprouts. Then I just dropped them in the holes. If they make it, Great! If they don't, I'll try something else.

When I'm rototilling, I often move a variety of volunteers to safe haven- sunflowers included. I haven't used any tools to do this. I scoop them up and set them to the side, then mass them in until needed. So, they are often moved more than once. It works with borage, dill, sunflowers, catnip... many plants that you may avoid haing to sow yourself.
