I saw this book in Barnes & Noble tonight. I think it was by Barbara Pleasant who used to write for Organic Gardening(just one of the contributors now that I look at the photo). I met her at a seminar once back in the 90's. It is part cookbook, part a guide book to okra in it's many varieties, went into how to preserve okra for the winter. I wasn't quite willing to pay for it since I bought a hardback novel tonight. Anyhow maybe others have looser purse strings.

That looks interesting, mgulfcoastguy, but don't I see another author on there? That's all I need, another cookbook... Of course, I had to check, but Amazon doesn't have any cheap used ones yet!

She was quoted in one of the first few pages. Although it had recipes, it didn’t have large numbers of them. The ones on cooking with ground okra seeds were something new.

Barbara Pleasant now writes for Mother Earth News. I see that the book shows red okra like Little Lucy on the cover.
I don't buy so many books anymore. Google makes getting new recipes so easy.
