Your tomatoes are beautiful. What is the weather like in Romania? Is it still warm there now?

Of those mentioned here, you sent Bogdana, Gradenarese, and Ovi's Romanian Giant. All were good ones and now listed in the SSE Yearbook. So far, only Ovi's has been requeswted but by at least 4 or 5 members.

Thanks Martin, glad to know that. Next time I'll post images with Happy and Bucovina Butter. I know you like both.
BTW, many of above mentioned are new in my garden. If you want to try some of them just let me know.

How could I forget Happy? Your picture shows a perfect fruit and it was true with every one. Your scale shows 317 but that was probably low average. I know that there were some at 500 or better. However, the two plants which were grown were in pure old horse manure so they were very "Happy" all around. It was also one of the front garden where anyone passing by is welcome to take some. Everyone was happy!
If I survive to garden another year, there will again be room for large ones in the front garden. This year was mostly large yellow/gold or bi-colors. Whatever I get will be treated very well.
On a personal note, please change my e-mail from .merr to .yahoo if you wish to contact me that way.

Beautiful tomatoes. Mine are done for the year but I do have some in the freezer so I will still have that fresh taste for cooking.

Rose de Calafat. My 2017 SSE description: "Large pink beefsteak from Calafat, Romania. Slightly ridged fruit to a pound or more. Excellent taste and few seeds."
On the SSE site, it is somehow listed 2 times simply as Rose Calafat. Probably because I grew it a second time because of so few seeds the first time. 2018 listing: "Large pink beefsteak from Calafat, Romania. Sandwich size fruit to a pound didn't ripen until early September but well worth waiting for. Very productive after that."
Those were listed as Rose Calafat. Turned out to be one of few that I grew 3 years in a row despite a backlog of up to 500 varieties. Third listing was as Rose de Calafat. 2019 listing: "Large pink beefsteak to 5" or 6". Excellent taste and production. Also known as Trandafirie de Calafat. Romanian heirloom."
After all that, is there any good reason why anyone should not want to grow it in 2020? Each time was in regular garden soil. Wonder whaat I would have got had it been old horse manure?
