I know that us gardeners rarely have to look for something to do, at this time of year! lol However, many people are spending a lot more time at home, due to the corona virus, so I thought that I'd share this with you. I got an email from Milk Street today, stating that they are making their cooking classes free, until 4-30, since they figured a lot of us will be shacked up for a while, due to this corona virus. These usually cost something, unless you are a prime member, or whatever they call it (which I'm not - just get it digital). I thought this was a nice step by them, and I thought I'd share it, in case anyone found any of them interesting, and looking for something to do. Free Milk Street Classes until 4-30

That looks like a great site to learn about new dishes!

That's nice of them and I will check this out. I glanced at it quickly and see that they have one on the Instant Pot as well as a few others that look interesting.

Tonight I baked a Browned Butter Banana Bread, the recipe for which I found in one of those free classes of Milk Street - the Spice Kitchen. The only spice in this is cardamom, which is bloomed in the browned butter, and the smell in here is wonderful. I'll be up late, waiting for the bread to cool, so I can sample it! Finished Browned Butter Banana Bread. by pepperhead212, on Flickr I took the Spice class, the Chile class, and the Instant Pot class, and the Instant Pot class was the most useful. Not much new to me in the chile class, some interesting topics in the spice class, but definitely the most useful information was in the Instant Pot class, with good info on cooking beans, grains, and meat, with only a little liquid. The Instant Pot was also the longest.

I took the Instant Pot class.
That bread looks wonderful and I wouldn't wait. I would be eating it warm!

I tried it last night, but it was even better this morning! With that browned butter, it's almost like it has rum in it. I had one slice by itself, and one with some neufchatel cheese spread on it; I think it might be better by itself! Haven't toasted it yet...I'll try that next.
