Our Granddaughter loves to help plant the garden in the spring. For several years her special seeds have been sunflowers. We get four or five different kinds of big ones. For the past two or three the volunteers also keep coming up. This year's champion volunteer threw a multi-headed giant. We call it Hydra.

Love it! I, too, really like sunflowers! Thanks for sharing.

Very pretty. I might have had a pretty one too if the deer had not eaten the main flower on my ONE plant.

I have one just like that! 8' tall and still growing. 12 blooms right now with about 5" or 6" centers. Came up on its own in the dahlia row. Almost pulled it once but wanted to see what the flowers would be. Since it's in the front garden, everyone passing by can also enjoy it.
