Weeds is why god made cardboard, newspaper, and grass clippings (for mulch).

I respectfully disagree with the common perception regarding weeds. Weeds with long tap roots help to bring nutrients up from deep in the ground making the nutrition available for other plants. Weeds can be pulled and laid down as mulch. Weeds are very valuable as green material in composting.
